In November of 1999 we signed a contract with Gary Stark to build a custom home for us.  Gary was very patient during the year it tool to sell the home we were living in.  During that year, Gary worked with us on the house designs, making modifications where we desired, and being honest with us about what wouldn’t work.  Once construction started on our home, Gary and TJ, his foreman, made themselves available for all our questions (and we had plenty!).  They and their crew involved us in every aspect of our home.  They made building a home a very pleasant experience.  We highly recommend using Stark Construction.

Our house was not finished when we first saw it. The minute we walked in the front door there was something special about it. Emerald Meadows was perfect for us, easy access to the major highways, not to far out, not to close to town, just perfect. I have known Gary Stark as a friend for over 30 years. I have seen his reputation as a quality builder first hand many times. Gary’s name is the only one that came to mind when the opportunity came for me to build a new home. His knowledge, flexibility, eye for details and quality are outstanding. Here at Emerald Meadows, Gary put together a rural atmosphere in an urban setting. We have access to three major highways, but within minutes to bike trails and Horseshoe Lake Recreational area. Emerald Meadows is a quiet, friendly place to live and a raise a family.

Recently we had Stark Homes build our home. Though it was sometimes overwhelming, Stark Homes made our homebuilding experience a rewarding one. The company’s staff was very informative, patient, and professional throughout the process. We were very pleased with the quality of workmanship as well. Any minor changes ere handled timely and smoothly with little effort on our par. Following the move, Stark Homes took care of any necessary adjustments needed to our satisfaction. Throughout the event, the staff was available and willing to be of service whenever we needed them, we couldn’t be more satisfied with our new home and neighborhood.

When we went looking for a new home we talked with a number of Realtors and contractors. We went into so many different homes that they began to become a blur. We had a talk with Mr. Stark about a couple of different floor plans. He, Mr. Stark (Gary now) was always PLEASANT, UP FRONT AND HONEST, a very rare quality these days. Needless to say after all the shopping around we went right back to Gary. He made us feel so comfortable that we purchased our new home from him. Gary listened to all of our concerns and needs, and followed up to make sure each and everyone was met right down to the last detail. Most importantly, Gary has been here for us since the purchase of our home. We couldn’t be more pleased! Gary just has a way of taking all the worry and stress of buying a new home right out of the process. And to top it all off, we have the most wonderful, caring neighbors. Who could ask for anything more?

Jason and I would be happy to give our opinion of your service and Emerald Meadows subdivision. We have really enjoyed building in this area. When we began looking at homes, we thought building a home was out of our league. The lots in Emerald Meadows were so nice and reasonably priced that this quickly changed our minds. Although we did choose another builder, your professionalism and assistance was always prompt and we appreciate it. We appreciate Gary helping us remove the debris on our lot before construction started and your guidance to our builder who was new to this area. All of the neighbors have also been friendly and very helpful. Jason and I can’t think of better place to begin our family. The community is a mixture of young, middle aged and older generations which makes this a wonderful place to bring up children. My wife and I, at the beginning of the year 2000, started looking for a home, closer to the Granite City area, to be closer to her family, and our church, Grace Baptist. We had found numerous homes in Collinsville, Glen Carbon, and Edwardsville. We were disappointed that all of them were $10,000.00 and higher than the appraised value. Our bids were higher than the appraisals but we lost out to someone else, every time. Lucky us, because we drove by Emerald Meadows. Gary showed concerned in my interest for a home. He offered me numerous deigns, with the option to modify any plan, to my liking. I only looked at a few homes that were almost finished, when I saw a home with a floor plan that was perfect. It was 80% completed. My wife drove down and fell in love with the home. She says she will retire here, and so could I, if I promise to be good . . . 12 Years to go for the retirement. Gary was fantastic with his help in completing the home, the way we wanted it. (The way she wanted it.) His right hand man TJ, made sure every detail was to our liking, and did extra things that normally are not done. The ladies in the office were always kind and bent over backwards for us. All of them still show the same consideration toward us today, as the day we met them. A plus for us, was that ever person who we met in Emerald Meadows, have been the best of the best for neighbors. Gary, TJ, Employees, and residents of Emerald Meadows are closer to being friends and family, than just a neighbor/acquaintance. May GOD Bless this small but growing community, and all who enter.

On behalf of my entire family, we would like to sincerely and gratefully extend our thanks to you and your entire building team.  The building of our home has been the most wonderful and relaxed experience we have ever had.  We heard all the horror stories of building a home and surprisingly, horror stories concerning building in Emerald Meadows.  You made us feel comfortable enough to build and build in Emerald Meadows and we are extremely happy we did.  Everyone involved with the building process was so professional and caring, it truly felt like we had friends building our home.  You were with us every step of the way, even at closing. Every question was answered and every need was met no matter what.  Because of this, no concerns ever entered the picture.  Gary and T.J. paid attention to every single detail no matter how seemingly minute, and because of that we have a very beautiful home.  We will be forever grateful.  There is so much we feel for Gary and the rest of the company that this letter and words alone cannot ever express.  Thank you.  We’d also like to give a special thanks to Suzi who relayed every message and made us feel like we were much more than customers
